FAQ

Do you take private commissions?

Unfortunately, no. My schedule does not allow me to take general commissions at this time. I may open the option up publicly in the future or consider on a case-by-case basis if I'm allowed ample creative freedom.

May I purchase this original?

Sure— Most of my originals are usually only available at galleries at the moment as they handle the shipping and handling for me. I currently do not have much on hand to realistically open up my own personal web store again for now. However, you’re always welcome to directly email or message me over social media if you have any inquiries.

May I purchase a print?

Same as above. However, if you have a specific digital piece in mind, you are more than welcome to email me about its edition. I can most likely get a custom print order in for you.

Sample sizes + prices: (may vary depending on piece)

8.5 x 11 inches: $15 min.
11 x 14 inches: $20 min.
13 x 17 inches: $25 min.

Default Paper: Moab Lasal Photo Matte 235 gsm

What printer model do you currently have? What do you recommend? How do you use it etc.?

I have an Epson P600 - 13" wide format.

I do have a highlights reel on my Instagram profile dedicated to my printer if you want to look at it more closely. I'm not a trained professional by any means so I recommend emailing local print labs if you want better technical answers. Please research before you buy your own but I would advise against buying a commercial grade printer as a hobby item. It's a huge business investment because the archival ink has a shelf life if unused and it costs a lot per cartridge. You also want to take good care of the printer itself because it's at least $800 and it's not as portable or easily serviceable as something like a laptop. Support your local labs :) I still go if I need to do large print jobs.

What medium do you use?

Traditional:
I usually do pencil on paper. I like using acrylic and gouache for painting. Here are some favorite tools:

  • Rotring 600 Mechanical Pencil 0.5

  • Mitsubishi brand colored pencils

  • Tachikawa Holder Model 36 + G nib

  • Princeton brand synthetic hair brushes

Digital:
Procreate on 12.9” iPad Pro + Apple Pencil
Paint Tool SAI + PS on Huion Kamvas Pro 16/ PC

Will you design apparel and shoes?

Only if secondhand/sweatshop-free. I am increasingly particular about putting my art on clothing because I do not want to profit off fast fashion/sweatshop labor. I will acknowledge I'm not 100% perfect at it but it's my own personal preference that I want to keep to the best of my ability.

I live in Chicago! If I purchase this piece from you, can you meet up with me for personal pick up/drop off?

No. I will not make personal trips to simply hand something over to a client in person. Mail only. The only possible exception is if it’s during a public gallery opening that I specifically plan on attending but otherwise, I cannot. It’s a safety issue and I would like to respect the physical boundaries of both parties.

Can you hold this piece for me?

No, not without a down payment. If you're in contact with me about purchasing a certain piece, especially during a drop, please keep in mind that I may be talking to someone else about the same piece at the same time.

Can you or this gallery do payment plans?

If purchasing directly from me, I will gladly discuss a payment plan with you that makes the most sense for your budget and timeline. As for galleries who have my work-- please do email them about their policies as each of them are different. I do believe they all are willing to work with you on a payment plan if you ask!

Can I post your art on my personal account with your tag/credit? Can I get a tattoo of your art?

Yes, just ask. :)

Can I take your photo? What do you look like?
